Brush Management for Invasive Species

Brush management for Invasive Species is an ongoing battle.  In 2024, the Iowa Sportsman’s Club has identified 187 timber acres that we will be working to eradicate invasive species like Bush Honeysuckle, Autumn Olive and Multifloral Rose.  This will be done through chemical and mechanical treatments, as well as timber burns.  Once removed, the native vegetation will have a chance to re-establish.  Maintenance will be an ongoing project.
