2024 Bills Signed into Law

HF 2015 – Landowner Deer Tags: This bill allows a landowner to use the two special deer hunting licenses to be used without designating the season in which the tag will be used. The tags would be able to be used in any open season using the method of take that is authorized for that season.

ISC is registered neutral on the bill. The bill passed the House on a vote of 69-24 and passed the Senate on a vote of 42-7. Governor Reynolds signed the bill on April 10, 2024.

HF 2310 – Trespassing Violations: This bill increases the fines for someone who knowingly trespasses while hunting. The fines would be: first offense $500 (was $265), second offense $1,000 (was $645), and $1,500 (was $1,285) for third offense.

ISC registered in favor of the bill. The House passed the bill on a vote of 87-7 and passed the Senate on a vote of 38-9. Governor Reynolds signed the bill on April 19, 2024.
